The Dubreys have been winegrowers since 1650, first at Château du Bourdac in the same commune, Illats, as Château d'Ardennes which they bought in 1968, an interesting estate that was up for sale then. Since that date, François and Suzanne, his wife, have largely improved the existing vineyard, refurbished the cellar integrating the new buildings to the site. They also have a neighbouring winery, Château La Tuilerie, that produces dry white Graves and clarets. Their son, Cyril, has been working with his parents on the estate since 1996, as well as running Château Mirebeau  at Martillac.
